Thanks for visiting BarbarianBody, my name is Tanner and I’m the sole creator! Every video, every workout and every article you see were made by one 23-year-old personal trainer on a shoestring budget.

I originally came up with the idea for BarbarianBody way back when I was only 16 years old, prior to becoming what it is today. I had numerous ideas of ways that I could leave a large impact on as many people as I possibly could. Each idea was more increasingly ridiculous than the one previous. Finally, I decided on creating videos to demonstrate workouts, exercises and nutrition advice that had allowed me to succeed physically.

With a loaned camera and a client of mine’s home gym, I pressed record and started creating the best content I possibly could! There’s no professional studio, no professional videography team, and no professional web/ social media team… I’ve spent hundreds of hours of my personal free time in an attempt to learn how to do each one of these things to the best of my ability on my own.

I’ve been in the fitness industry for the past few years now – since 2012 when I was initially certified as a personal trainer. However, before actually being certified, I had been heavily focused on fitness and nutrition all the way from the young age of 11 years old. Nearly every day of my life for the past 11 years has been spent testing new exercises, routines and nutrition strategies; all to satisfy my own thirst for knowledge. It’s been a long and difficult road, and I’m still very young (23 to be exact!), but with over a decade of experience, I finally decided it was time to give back on a much larger scale.

BarbarianBody was created to do exactly that! By utilizing platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat, I was finally able to reach a much larger audience with my own take on fitness/ nutrition advice and routines. This meant that I was able to reach more people and help on a much larger scale.

My workouts and programs were designed for real people; the busy individuals who have to work all day, come home, cook, clean and still attempt to maintain a social life. The people who don’t have the luxury of free time to spend hours of their week training in the gym. BarbarianBody is for the people who have every reason in the world to excuse not being able to train and eat healthily, yet are still looking to make an improvement in their lives by doing what they can.

It’s my hope that I’m able to motivate you to reach and attain all of your physical goals; while delivering the highest quality fitness and nutrition content I possibly can.
